Abstract: Title: Helping Students Navigate the STEM Major and Career Neighborhood

STEM: It's a simple acronym for a complex set of majors and careers with far less clarity than many students and professionals realize. Because of this complexity that disproportionately affects students from underrepresented backgrounds, there are benefits from applying tenets of exploratory advising to the STEM major/career decision-making process. Learn how applicable career decision-making theory benefits STEM advising at two universities, and how our practices may benefit your work with students in STEM majors.
