Abstract:
|
Whoever said, "it takes a village," was right! This session will focus on developing and implementing a University's Center for Academic Guidance (CAG), a new program that specifically targets and supports students in academic peril. With the support of Institutional Research, the University identified early indicators of student attrition. CAG staff approach student support with skillsets in academic advising, coaching, and case management. The program saw its first group of students in Spring 2023 and received positive feedback from students and campus partners. Attendees will learn about the (1) structure of the CAG program, (2) student populations the program supports, (3) gaps in the program's initial design, (4) challenges and successes of building campus partnerships, and (5) adoption and engagement data. |
