As a result of this presentation, participants will: (1) Understand the basic rules of improv as they relate to academic advising; (2) Learn about accepting and heightening students' offers, being in the moment, and portraying the appropriate character; (3) Explore the benefits of using improv as a training mechanism; and (4) Practice communication and listening enhancing improv exercises that they can incorporate at their home campuses.
