Supporting Students on Academic Probation: The Helper's Guide
Nationwide, colleges and universities are dedicated to two key goals-increasing retention and supporting student success. The challenge higher education faces in supporting these outcomes is in setting equitable standards for academic performance, which, when not met, can lead to academic probation and suspension.
During this presentation, we will explore the challenges advisors face when supporting students on academic probation. Additionally, discussion will surround interventions to address retention needs among the critical population of probationary students, and strategies for collaborating with campus partners to support student needs.
This presentation would benefit advisors and administrators from higher education institutions. |
