Abstract:
|
Amidst the evolving landscape of higher education, the plight of working mothers remains pronounced. Though 70% of working mothers participate in the labor force, mothers encounter hostile environments in academia, failing to accommodate their familial responsibilities and professional aspirations. This presentation addresses the challenges confronting mothers in academic roles, proposing practical strategies for achieving equilibrium between career and motherhood. Central to our discourse is the imperative of cultivating supportive work cultures for all family structures. Time management techniques tailored to academia and motherhood are elucidated, emphasizing research-backed methodologies for optimizing productivity without sacrificing familial commitments. Additionally, we underscore the significance of mentorship, peer support, and family integration in professional development. By fostering inclusivity and empowerment, this presentation endeavors to equip academic mothers with the tools to flourish in both their personal and professional spheres. |
