Title: Developing NACADA Journal Authors: Voices From the Field
Lead Presenter: Susan Campbell
Date: October 07, 2021    Time: 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Room: 236, DECC
Abstract: One of the hallmarks of a vibrant association is a robust literature and scholarship base. The robustness depends upon the engagement of the association's members as consumers and contributors to the literature. Contributing to the scholarly conversation by those not already immersed as published researchers and scholars can be confusing, challenging, and intimidating. This moderated panel, comprised of NACADA Journal editors, authors, and reviewers, will focus on the developmental approach used to encourage and support authors. The goal is to reveal the partnership that develops as a manuscript is submitted, revised, and moved toward publication. The stories and insights shared are intended to offer encouragement to new contributors to the scholarship of academic advising through publication in the NACADA Journal.
