Abstract:
|
In the rapidly evolving realm of higher education, academic advisors play a pivotal role in guiding students along their academic paths. The escalating demands placed on academic advisors highlight the potential of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance their efficacy and offer tailored academic advising to students. This conference session seeks to delve into the transformative possibilities of AI in reshaping academic advising practices and empowering advisors to bolster student success.
This session aims to argue that academic advisors equipped with AI tools will outperform those without. By harnessing AI capabilities, advisors can access real-time data, analyze substantial information, and tailor guidance to individual student needs and aspirations. This personalized approach can potentially boost student engagement, elevate academic achievement rates, and enhance overall advising satisfaction.
Participants will collaborate and engage in practical activities to design their AI-powered academic advisor during the session. This collaborative endeavor will enable participants to harness their collective expertise and insights to create an AI tool tailored to address the unique challenges faced by academic advisors. By gaining hands-on experience, participants will develop essential skills in AI development, data analysis, and problem-solving, crucial for successfully integrating AI into academic advising practices. |
