Abstract: Culturally Responsive Advising: Approaches for Supporting APIDA Students in College

This panel presentation aims to introduce effective approaches for academic advisors to better support Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi-American (APIDA) students in college. With the increasing diversity of student populations on campuses, it is crucial for advisors to understand and cater to the unique needs, challenges, and cultural nuances of APIDA students. This panel will discuss strategies and approaches for creating inclusive advising environments that empower APIDA students to thrive academically, socially, and culturally.
