Abstract:
|
During the 2022-2023 school year, one academic institution had a significant number of student deaths by suicide. Following a Student Mental Health Task Force report developed campus-wide, three professional advisors at the institution revised the Inclusive Advising core workshop that is a part of the campus's Advisor Development Institute Certificate requirements. In this session, participants will learn about the certificate program, changes made to a core workshop based on current student mental health needs, and how inclusive advising can be centered around empathy. |
