Abstract:
|
How do you help students feel connected through meaningful program creation when staffing and budget size is on the decline? Join us and find out how the two-person student success team at a College of Fine Arts created and implemented the STiLE (Success Through Intentional Learning and Engagement) program to help students feel connected and build community. The STiLE program is comprised of four pillars to promote student success. These include student defined academic success; leadership actualization; community building, engagement and stewardship; and financial literacy/economic empowerment. STiLE aims to help students take charge of their academic journey so they can walk across the stage armed not only with a diploma but tools for success in life after college. Participants will complete a worksheet designed to track their ideas during small group brainstorming sessions. |
