Lead Presenter: Amanda DeVaney
Date: October 29, 2025    Time: 8:45 am - 9:45 am
Room: Roman Ballroom IV, Promenade Level
Abstract: This session will focus on helping higher education professionals create holistic support networks for undergraduate students on academic probation. Attendees will gain strategies to collaborate, identify and address academic and personal factors that may be hindering student success. By integrating academic advising, peer support, and wellness initiatives, this session will guide participants in developing proactive, comprehensive support systems. Academic coaching will play a key role by providing students with structured guidance, helping them set and achieve academic goals, while fostering skills like self-reflection, time management, and accountability. Participants will learn how to incorporate academic coaching techniques into one-on-one advisor meetings, group events with cross-campus partners, and online modules. The session will offer practical solutions for identifying the most pressing student challenges and help build a sustainable, student-centered framework for academic success throughout the semester.
