Abstract:

Have you ever wanted to know more about the mystical engineering transfer student population, and the unique challenges each subpopulation may face? If so, this session is for you! Seasoned academic advisors from our institution will debunk the myths and wow you with the unique resources and institutional degree progress tools that transfer students have available to them, even before they transfer. We will also discuss how students navigate the transfer process, our intrusive advising model, accompanying learning outcomes, and gems of knowledge gathered over the years while working with this unique student population. Participants will gain knowledge of best practices that could be adapted to the needs of their students at both two-year and four-year institutions. |
