Abstract:

While all participants leave NACADA's conferences with new ideas, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations, the greatest takeaways are often the connections made within each region and beyond. This session provides a fun and laid-back opportunity for participants to connect with one another and compare conference notes during the conference. The presenters will facilitate three icebreaker activities: Who's in the Room, Speed Networking, and Scenarios in Advising. Participants will leave the session with a greater appreciation of the variety of advising professionals within NACADA, an opportunity to discuss contemporary issues in advising with colleagues across career levels, institutional types, and regions, and a list of the most recommended places to eat and visit while in Pittsburgh! This session is ideal for first-time conference attendees, but everyone is welcome! |
