Title: Establishing a Coordinated Care Network: A Multidivisional Approach to Address Student Needs
Lead Presenter: Brittany Fish
Date: October 09, 2021    Time: 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Room: Zoom Room 4
Abstract: Amid a global pandemic, college enrollment rates declined 2.5% during fall 2020, magnifying the dire need to retain the students that institutions do enroll (Amour, 2020). In an effort to combat a pandemic plummet, our institution worked to create a student self-alert process, redefine our alerts and referrals, and establish a Coordinated Care Network to support students and academic advisors in the process of addressing academic and social student needs. While our efforts proved to be successful, creating a university-wide Coordinated Care Network to develop an alerts system is challenging. This session will focus on how a mid-size university established a successful alert redesign and multi-divisional approach to student success and retention.
