This presentation aims to empower academic advisors with the tools to guide college students in transforming their approach to time management through self-management. Traditional time management techniques often overlook the importance of underlying habits, attitudes, and motivations. By focusing on self-management, advisors can help students develop effective strategies for academic success. The session will cover practical tools such as short-range planning, the Eisenhower Matrix, and digital resources. Advisors will learn to address psychological barriers such as procrastination and perfectionism and promote healthy striving and goal-setting. Through interactive activities and group discussions, participants will gain a comprehensive toolkit to support students in developing robust self-management skills, ultimately leading to improved academic performance and personal well-being. |
