Abstract:

Goal setting is an intricate part of the advising process. As advisors, we mentor students towards reaching their academic, personal and career goals. In this presentation, you will learn an interactive way to link students' goals to visual existence. You will be given a brief overview on SMART Goal setting paired with the 'Candy Land Your Way to Success Board' of life hands-on activity. This activity aids students in action step planning to achieving their goal(s), progressing towards their goal(s) and, confronting obstacles that may arise. This activity can be used with students in a one-on-one advising session, workshop and online module. Come play Candy Land with us! |
