Abstract:
|
Advisors know each transfer student has a unique story. Taking time to hear the story, review the transfer information, and provide appropriate services and referrals can be challenging. Using advising technology to create an outreach campaign, the College invited all transfer students to tell their tale. The meetings included reviews of all courses but revealed much more for those who chose to take the invitation and the advisor who made it.
Through engagement, advisors will learn about the campaign structure, methods, and outcomes. Advisors are encouraged to listen, dialog, review campaign data, map out their own transfer team and tools, and share their tales of working with transfer students. Together advisors and colleagues can support transfer students to graduation. |
