Lead Presenter: Veronica Gilliard
Date: October 02, 2018    Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Room: N 131 A
Abstract: Have you noticed a course or academic concept students are struggling to understand within the program you advise? Do you desire a working relationship with faculty members within your program to discuss potential improvements? If you have identified unaddressed areas of academic challenge for students within your program, use the assessment information you have access to as an academic advisor to become more proactively involved in program evaluation through collaboration with faculty members. This presentation will explore how to use student learning outcomes to translate your anecdotal academic advising evidence into proposals to reform and improve academic programs. Attendees will be given tools to identify and illustrate trends within their academic programs in discussions with faculty members.
