Do you often want to help a student think about their career but you don't know where to start? Do you have seniors unsure of what direction to take next or new students who feel aimless? Join me to discuss four quick questions that you can use with advisees to start them on career planning. The student can then head to the career center with a framework in place or come back for follow-up discussion. The framework 'GIVE Me Your Story' uses Good, Impact, Value, Environment as your simple guideline and students can continue to use it after they graduate from college. We will have time for sharing experiences or questions. This presentation will not involve numbers or graphs and is perfect for new advisors. |
