Abstract:

Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are attending post-secondary educational institutions in record numbers. In order to meet increasing student needs, advisers at in the First Year Advising Office at the University of North Florida collaborate with THRIVE- Transition to Health, Resources, Independence, Viable careers, and Education- a free transition support program for students with ASD registered with the campus disability resource center. First Year Advisers and the THRIVE coordinator work collaboratively to give ASD students optimal support in getting connected to academic support resources, as well as a network of supportive faculty and staffe |
