Abstract:

This session will discuss the emerging trend of using a case management model, while supporting the Advising community in order to identify and support undergraduate students in persistence, progression and graduation. Presenters will elaborate on how the use of a shared institution-wide system has enhanced open communication with Academic Advisors and other student support services to be proactive on student issues. Examples of student cases, software systems, data utilized, and a discussion on how to approach the use of a case management model within the advising community will be shared. As student support services collaborate to address individual student needs, a more holistic approach to student success has evolved and increased retention and graduation rates. |
