Abstract:

We are all looking for ways to improve our advising practices, (especially for free!). This session will cover 25+ content creation, digital design softwares, apps, and tech tools that advisors can use right away to communicate more efficiently, boost your graphic design skills, and better convey information to new students. Good design can increase attention and comprehension of information through visual engagement including fonts, images, and words to deliver messages to the audience, but advisors typically never get this sort of training and departments rarely have big budgets to cover the necessary software. This session will introduce you to dozens of FREE ways to use technology to make your practice more awesome in 2018. |
