Abstract:

NACADA is encouraging the growth of scholarship, and many advisors are interested in actively participating. If more work is created, there may be a need for additional - and more varied - outlets for scholarship. Join our panel of scholars, journal editors, and advising administration as we explore the state of publishing in our field. This concurrent session will dive in to what it means to 'know' in the context of research and scholarship and imagine how current scholarship can pave the way for diving deeper into theory and humanities based inquiry in advising. The presentation may be of interest to advisors seeking places to submit their work, institutions contemplating contributing to research, and anyone interested in discussing how diverse scholarly disciplines can contribute to the understanding of advising. |
