Abstract: The complex challenges that face higher education today require that all members of the higher education community contribute to the solutions. Appreciative Administrators seek to create healthy workplace environments that empower and encourage Academic Advisors to be their best selves every day and to a share and enact their ideas for creating positive change on campus. The Appreciative Administration theory-to-practice framework gives advising administrators specific tools and suggestions to effectively lead their academic advising offices. Specifically, we will be sharing tips for running effective staff meetings and for empowering the staff you supervise. We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting, hope-filled presentation on how to be an effective advising administrator!
