Abstract:
|
Appointment preparation and follow-up notes are inherent to our profession. However, very few advisors get adequate training in these areas. Due to this, students often have to retell their story every time they meet with their advisor which diminishes rapport, effectiveness and student satisfaction. Presenters will discuss strategies that have helped them discover their student's stories through effective preparation, tailored meeting questions, and follow up appointment notes. Learn how presenters used their student information system and Outlook calendar and email tools to help cultivate rapport and impact the effectiveness of their advising interactions. |
