Abstract: Wanna be on top? This presentation will highlight the benefits and challenges of mentoring faced by practitioners in academic advising and beyond. The session will discuss the programmatic efforts throughout NACADA Region 2 and Region 5 to assist in engaging members in mentoring activities. Through greater visibility of mentoring programming at all levels (local, state and national), attrition rates will drop allowing for an increased retention of professionals in the field.
