Abstract:
|
The Colleges of Letters, Arts, and Science (CLAS) at the University of Arizona is an interdisciplinary department working closely with exploratory students, students in the probation process and students pursuing one of two interdisciplinary degrees. In CLAS, we are charged with developing innovative retention methods to increase student success and persistence. In the poster session, we will explore the different types of outreach used, the programs that have been developed and the strategies used when developing these different types of outreach. We will discuss how we manage these strategies and our goals for tracking success as we implement a more cohesive plan. We will review communication plans, workshops, peer consulting programs and success courses. Join us to hear our story and how our strategies impact the stories of our students! |
