Why do we go to work every day and what inspires us? How, as advising administrators, do we motivate and inspire our advising staff when we may not feel inspired ourselves? In order to inspire and motivate others, we must first understand why WE are here. This session will cover techniques outlined in Simon Sinek's book, Start with Why. We will discuss the elements of the Golden Circle - the WHAT, HOW and WHY. By discovering your WHY, you'll be better able to make meaningful decisions and identify the conditions that put you at your natural best. By understanding YOUR WHY, you'll learn how to motivate and inspire others which will, in turn, help you build a passionate and dedicated advising team. |
