Abstract:
|
"In the Summer of 2015, the College of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the Office of Orientation, started a voluntary pre-orientation advising program for incoming transfer students, whereby students could meet with their advisor and register for courses prior to their mandatory orientation. This program will discuss the rationale for this initiative, origins and planning involved in developing this initiative, intended and actual outcomes, and best practices learned over the last 3 summers of this program, Advisors will leave this program with the necessary framework to bring this program back to their respective campuses.
