Abstract:
|
Whether its conducting a research study, or looking for professional development resources, the importance of knowing the existing academic advising literature cannot be overstated. In this session, we will explore how to conduct a 'systematic' literature review. Systematic review searches are unique due to their exhaustive nature, and their ability to be replicated by others using specific search criteria. Since starting these searches can seem daunting, attendees will be guided through the process step by step, using advising topics of their choosing to direct their searches. By the end of this session, attendees will have the tools (including a systematic review guide sheet to take home) to conduct their own systematic literature review searches. |
