Working in career advising into every day academic advising can sometimes be challenging. While the two types of advising can feel very different, both are highly entwined and helping students have a clear career focus will drive the academic advising appointment and allow the advisor to give the best help possible. At this poster session, you will leave with a 'Back Pocket Toolkit' that will help guide your advising sessions to include a career focus. This toolkit will help new advisors, give questioning inspiration for those long day, keep you grounded during complex appointments and will also build more student involvement during advising. |
