Abstract:
|
Colleagues in the Probation/Dismissal/Retention (PDR) world know when their reinstatement practices are vague or ineffective. Learning what's working at other institutions helps inform how to create meaningful policies, procedures and programs that effectively address retention efforts for this often overlooked student population. During our panel session, participants will learn about reinstatement successes and challenges at five different schools from across the country, with panelists from one private four-year university, one community college, and three state institutions with populations ranging from 1600 to 30,000 students. This panel will share their respective successes and challenges, and offer specific strategies for success that participants can take back to their home institutions. Relevant materials will be shared on the conference website for this presentation. |
