Abstract: "Sponsored by the Education Majors Advising Community, our panel will engage in a conversation on topics related to recruitment and retention issues faced by advisors of teacher education majors. Members of this advising community have identified low or declining enrollment in teacher education programs and barriers created by testing as topics of urgent interest. Our panel will discuss how these issues are being addressed at their institutions, and attendees will be encouraged to share their concerns and best practices.
