Abstract: Are you looking for a way to focus on-boarding and professional growth of advisors on key competencies to maximize achieved outcomes from training and professional development funding for academic advising on your campus? A committee of advising administrators and advisors from across the University of Missouri system have collaborated to develop competency based advisor training resources and ongoing shared professional development events to both contribute to an intentional training and development plan and to recognize savings across four campuses. In this session we will explore steps to promote key competencies, leverage campus partnerships to improve professional development opportunities and provide an opportunity to share strategies and resources that have been successful on participants' own campuses.
