Title: I Hate Writing; I Love Having Written: Demystifying the Writing Process Through Collaboration and Support
Lead Presenter: Rhonda Dean-Kyncl
Date: October 02, 2018    Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Room: N 226 C
Abstract: For many members of the academic advising community, research and writing remain mysterious processes they are reticent or fearful to engage in reality. This moderated panel, comprised of experienced advising practitioner-scholars, addresses fundamental questions and anxieties of scholarly writing and research, including: why to get started, how to get started, what reviewers look for, navigating the 'revise and resubmit' process, finding collaborators, and an overview of the new NACADA Writer Support Program. Participants will have the opportunity to make appointments for one-on-one consultations with panel members following this session.
