Abstract:
|
Research has shown that sophomores can enter a 'sophomore slump', a time when students may lack motivation, feel they have less resources, and struggle to know next steps to becoming successful in their academics and career. Attendees will learn about a program developed at a large university to try to address these issues. This poster will have information on the research regarding sophomores in college. It will then review the history of the school's programming, the current state of the program, and management to successfully serve approximately 700 sophomores per year. Participants will leave knowing the diverse topics covered and how the program is evaluated. Those in attendance will leave with ideas for implementation at their own institution. |
