Abstract:

A diverse panel of women in various leadership positions from different institutional types will share their experiences in working their way up the academic career ladder and within NACADA. Panelists will present the opportunities and challenges they faced and the choices they had to make to earn their spot in higher education administration. Topics will include decisions about earning advanced degrees, finding personal and professional life balance, raising a family, the value of a mentor, cultural experiences that have impacted their careers, building resiliency and maintaining identities as women of color in higher education. Join this group of dynamic women for an entertaining, enlightening, and supportive session where you can share your story as well! |
