Abstract:

"Now that we've finally caught on to the Millennial generation, their younger and even more tech-savvy peers, Generation Z, are arriving on our college campuses with more information at their fingertips than ever before. What do we know about these new students that have grown up in the digital age, and is there a need to modify how to effectively advise these students? This session will share some of the current information available on Generation Z and provide an interactive discussion to share ideas and strategies on working with these students in academic advising. Participants will leave with some tools and strategies to effectively connect with this generation.
