Advising strategies and theories can seem unlimited and overwhelming. Don't choose, collage. ACE it (Advise, Connect, Empower) engages students at decision points to transform the advising experience. ACE it employs a blend of holistic, appreciative and intrusive faculty and staff advising and coaching. Learn how use of an advising syllabus, assessments, early connections and support, campus connections, and growth mindset transformed student success. Professional advisors start students on their path. For students' first four semesters, faculty and staff coaches work with students to teach them to become informed, independent and resilient decision makers. Join us as we share experiences, outcomes, documents and processes in group conversations about how you can sculpt student success on your campus. |
