Abstract:
|
"High-ability students tend to have a reputation for being self-motivated achievers, having clear goals, and not needing additional support; however, this population has unique needs, and the literature provides rationale for creating supports for them. Because high-ability students exist in all facets of a college campus, this presentation will address best practices for advising and supporting this population, and provide concrete examples that connect theory to practice. Participants are encouraged to contribute ideas from their own practice.
