Abstract:

This presentation will discuss how Academic Advisors can co-construct and encourage students to tell their stories as a way to present skills they have learned, challenges they have overcome, and successes they have enjoyed. By presenting successful practices, and examples of how storytelling can be used in advising meetings, attendees will be able to hone their own narrative skills, as well as the narrative skills of their students. This interactive presentation will be an opportunity for attendees to share their stories, and practice what they are learning. |
