Abstract:
|
Academic advising can feel lonely at times, but the team can make all the difference. When compiling a group of professionals into an advising team there is a distinct opportunity to do more than just hire an exceptional individual. Whether centralized, decentralized, or somewhere in between the team of advisors can be composed in such a way that student outcomes are at the forefront. We will be looking at the uniqueness of an advising team and how that has impacted student outcomes. This presentation will be helpful to advisors and advising leaders. Participation will revolve around introspection and evaluation of your current team or your team of the future. |
