Abstract:
|
This presentation explores innovative strategies for scaling academic advising impact without relying solely on increasing Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) positions. Drawing upon eight years of experience at [INSTITUTION NAME], where advising services have been effectively scaled despite limited FTE growth, we will demonstrate how a multifaceted approach can enhance advising effectiveness and reach. This approach encompasses:
'Bricks': Optimizing physical advising spaces to foster collaborative interaction and student-centered engagement.
'Clicks': Leveraging technology-driven solutions, such as automated scheduling and online resources, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
'Peers': Effectively integrating a peer-led advising model to expand access to support and enhance student engagement.
The presentation will share data-driven insights from [INSTITUTION NAME], including increased student appointments and maintained high advising satisfaction rates despite limited FTE growth. Through interactive discussions, participants will explore how to adapt and implement these strategies within their own institutions, considering their unique challenges and resources. |
