Abstract:
|
Do you have staff with a passion to make advising better on your campus? Learn how you can harness this enthusiasm, provide professional development opportunities, and produce actionable solutions through a professional development committee. Designed for leaders and coordinators, this session will describe using an interdisciplinary professional development committee to both develop committee members and improve campus-wide advising. The session will describe selecting committee members; interacting with stakeholders; leading the group toward impactful outcomes; and the benefits committee members gained from participating. You will gain insight into a model that has a high return on effort and leave the session with practical tools, guidance, and templates that will enable you to create a similar committee on your campus. |
