Abstract:
|
One of the first steps in leadership is taking inventory of yourself as a professional and a person. A helpful starting point is developing a leadership philosophy that informs your leadership style and decision making. Many new leaders are just so happy to be in their formalized role that they haven't taken the time to think about the importance of this grounding step. Even after you develop your leadership philosophy, you'll go through cycles of updating your stated priorities and commitments when you apply the principles to situations over time. This workshop will offer you the chance to develop or refine your statement with fellow administrators to continue your work with a sense of purpose and direction. After setting your intention with a drafted leadership philosophy, we'll then work together to put your statement to the test with real scenarios advising administrators have encountered in the workplace. |
