Abstract: In the United States, disparities with respect to race, ethnicity, and gender are common across academic institutions (Fernandez et al., 2024). Those disparities can impact the work we do with students, faculty, and other staff. This presentation has an interactive element where participants will utilize and apply the Johari Window to a situation. The purpose of this interactive exercise will be to challenge participants self-awareness and help them improve and enhance their many types of relationships. Participants will also learn how to formulate continuous strategies to raise their own self-awareness and increase their level of transparency for intentional change.
