Title: Leaving NACADA With New Ideas? Learn How to Successfully Implement Your Ideas and Make Them Last
Lead Presenter: Jim Disrude
Date: October 07, 2021    Time: 2:15 pm - 3:15 pm
Room: 200, DECC
Abstract: We all know that feeling of leaving a conference excited to kickstart our news ideas. However, it is widely cited that 75% of change efforts fail. One reason is because administrators often fail to use a proven strategy for change implementation, leading to confusion and poor buy-in. Innovation Configuration Maps (IC map) solve this problem by providing a high-fidelity picture of what constitutes stellar-and not so stellar-innovation implementation. With IC maps as a guide, advisors are far more likely to achieve desired results because IC maps breakdown the innovation at the individual level, creating common understanding of ideal behaviors. Attendees will learn how to create maps, deploy them, and utilize them for assessment.
