Abstract:
|
Do you work with students you consider to be high-achieving?
The Advising High Achieving Students Community encourages professional development, networking, and scholarship activities for academic advisors working with-or interested in-high-achieving student populations. Such populations might include students in honors programs or honors colleges, students in rigorous majors or selective degree programs, students who display multipotentiality, students at highly-selective institutions, and students engaged in high-impact practices like independent research.
If you work with students you would define as high-achieving, or if your students share characteristics with high-achievers, we invite you to our annual community meeting! Gather with other members interested in this special population to discuss opportunities for involvement, recognize our community-sponsored sessions, meet our incoming community chair, and brainstorm potential activities and initiatives for the upcoming year. |
