For those who stay: Navigating change in a time of team upheaval
The Great Resignation has impacted universities across the nation. If your office is one affected by staff turnover, how do you balance workload and maintain morale while continuing to provide outstanding service to students? Over the span of ten months, our team of twelve lost half its members to retirement and resignation. Using our office as a case study, and Kotter's 8 Steps for Leading Change as a framework, this presentation will examine how teams can maintain excellence and rebuild even stronger in a time of turnover. There is opportunity in loss, but only when the remaining team members feel supported and committed. Through lecture and discussion, we will examine how to turn uncertainty into opportunity, and the Great Attrition into the Great Attraction. |
