Lead Presenter: Julia Dingle
Date: October 07, 2021    Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Room: 200, DECC
Abstract: This presentation will share the good, the bad, and the ugly of bringing students around the globe back to the United States amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. How do you manage attending to students' emotions while also navigating Zoom for the first time in your life? How do you divide and conquer the tasks of a situation you have never prepared for? Presenters will review the impacts of the pandemic on the academic, emotional, and logistical aspects of study abroad advising, from both individual and university-wide perspectives. Attendees will be presented with a series of lessons learned on best strategies for collaboration as a team as well as methods of communication in the midst of a crisis.
